Voting is not a right.

Awesome patriotic Thanksgiving-themed postcards on eBay.

Now that I’ve got your attention…

Voting is an absolute privilege.

I’m not going to tell you who I think you should vote for. But I can tell you that the candidates you vote for should be the ones your hearts AND heads AND soul tell you to – not the ones anyone else has told you to vote for.

I started with a much longer post, but I was boring even myself! It was like when I was 15-years-old and Mr. Aquista was trying to explain the Electoral College to me for the first time. Total. Eye. Glaze. Over. ;-)

So I’ll keep it short and sweet, and will thank my non-U.S. friends for indulging me.

I'm always excited and nervous to vote. It's such a huge responsibility - but today I was giddy and couldn't wait to get to the polls.

I hope the day is going well for you.
Today is an epic day.

Hi laura!

Yes -- I voted after waiting on the longest voting line I've ever experienced in my life! I feel so excited and proud.

I so agree with you, the turnout in the UK now is pathetic, do you know it is compulsory to vote in Australia...fantastic!

Laura, you're so right, it is a privilege, which I mentioned too. Now if I could just get the hang of that electoral college thing...it's still over my head!

A bit late! But Congratulations!! I'm so proud of you all. It will make such a difference to the rest of us in the world. You'd be surprised at the influence the US President has in the rest of the world and how our countries function!

It drives me nuts in this country the amount of people who don't vote, the turnout is pathetic! :(
