Baby it's cold outside.

I don't know where the weekend went. The shore house residents are quite busy these days. But we did manage to make a trip to the beach with Maggie yesterday. It seems with her, the colder the better.

Even when we got back home, she looked out lovingly at the snow...hoping to hop back out.

The human residents had other ideas. Like a hot shower and cocktails.

I hope to visit all of the homes on Southern Hospitality's Best of 2008 tour this week...the ones I have seen are amazing! Nice work, everyone, and thanks to all the people who came by and said such nice things about the shore house. I'll be stopping by your online homes soon.

I did manage to finish a project -- finding a home for Grandma's teacups. Instead of relegating them to my mom's basement for storage, I lined some of them up in the china cabinet. China...china cabinet...it's kind of meant to be, don't you think?

I also took pictures today of the bedroom we call The Napoleon Room. Hopefully I'll steal some time this week to get them up here on the ol' blog.

There you are, Mrs. Shorehouse! So glad you're okay. :-) Look at that wonderful dog. She has little snowflakes melting on her coat. Awwwwww... she's a cutie, and your are two in your mask! That looks handmade. And I like Shorehouse Grandmother's teacups in the china cabinet. Indeed, it makes perfect sense! ;-)

XO,

Sheila

Those pictures definitely show the cold. Brrrrrr....

I love the teacups. I also love that they're on display - so much better than a basement. :)

I love your teacup collection. They look lovely in the china cabinet. Your winter walk makes me shiver. My blood has gotten thinner living here in the South, but I'm glad that Maggie enjoyed it so much!

Everything about this is good! Magical snow, vintage teacups, the promise of a "Napoleon" room -and- a sweet black pooch. What's not to love?

Hi Laura

So sorry I haven't been around --my daughter has the flu and has been very sick, and I've been helping her out quite a bit. Hope I don't come down with it now --and we all had flu shots in November too ;-(

Your grandmother's teacups look so pretty in your China cabinet!

Stay warm -- more cold weather headed our way!

Hugs, Pat

It's cold here, too! BRRRRR!

Love the teacups. I'd get out my grandmothers cups also, if it wasn't for the fact that I have boys! (Breakable things, beware...)
