Happy Mardi Gras!

Mardi Gras Indian, New Orleans Jazz Fest 2010
There are many things and places I love and one of them is New Orleans. I'll be back there in 52 days. But who's counting. Until then I'll have to wash down my not-quite-the-real-deal King Cake with a cup of chicory coffee. And by the way...the best, best King Cake I've ever had was sent to me by my brother last year from Sucre, a must visit when in the Big Easy.

I love that place! And right next door is the Magazine Street Antique Mall! My son has a booth there.

Hope I get to go to Jazz Fest this year!

Which weekend will you be there?

Is Today Mardi Gras? Is Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday?

In this here part of the frozen tundra, Mardi Gras is nonexistent, so we don't even know.

Happy Fat Tuesday!

And I have to think anything from a place called Sucre has to be delicious and decadent beyond belief.

Let the party begin. Be careful with your shirt and those breads!

OMG, you're back! You're really back! When I saw the link at Maya's today, I couldn't believe it!

Welcome back, you were missed, I didn't think you were ever coming back and your name on my blogroll made me sad. It's back there now already!

This is a good day!

I'm a virgin. That's right, I've never been to Mardi Gras, New Orleans or Louisiana! I did order macaroons last year from Sucre after reading your post. I will get there one day.

Deborah
