Pink is the new black.

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I'm going pink. Check out these pink lovelies from the Everyday is a Holiday Etsy store...which just so happens to be operated by lovelies from the Jersey Shore (neighbors, practically!). Jenny and Aaron's retro decorations and collections are inspired by their love of old bakeries and sweet shoppes. Don't you just love this cheeky take on the Keep Calm and Carry On posters that are popping up everywhere?

OK, you've kicked my butt. I'm 6 months behind on having my check up. Will call now...

Have you ever been to Granny's Attic in Ho-Ho-Kus? I bought a couch from them via Craigs a while ago and am thinking about going to their store. Got any insight?

Laura, thanks so much for sharing this! My Aunt is a breast cancer survivor and it's so great that you're reminding us ladies to get checked out. And pink just happens to be one of my favorite colors too :) LOVE that pink house!

Love the cupcake poster. I agree early detection is the KEY!! I have been going for regular yearly mammograms since I was 30 because my mother had breast cancer (she's doing great!) and just last week I had my 3rd mammogram in 5 months because they thought they saw something but they were not certain and I had to keep going back for more in depth mammograms. Sure enough, they have detected the tiniest few suspicious spots that I would not have been able to feel for a few years. I have an appointment with a specialist next week. I feel confident. :)

Hi Ladies!

Thank you all for stopping by. I appreciate your stories, too. So many of us are affected by breast cancer pretty directly these days...I don't know why it's become so prevalent (really, right? I just don't remember being younger and hearing "cancer" so many, many times). Lauren, my lovely blogger friend, I’m confident too. :-) I am so glad for your diligence!

And, OMG – PVE you are so right! How could I forget pink flip flops?! October is a long month, so I think they’ll have to make an appearance!

I’ve really got my eyes on Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake. It’s also in Robin’s Egg blue…And, Santa, Christmas is coming…

;-)

Hi Laura :)

A lot of cuteness for a great cause!! I love that cupcake sign :)

I'm glad my advice on the dress helped. I always look everywhere and end up going back there. You have to share what you bought, even if you didn't buy one of theirs! ;)

hugs,
rue

Great minds think alike... I'm doing a post about PINK and tying it in to a virtual walk for breast cancer... hoping to have it up by MOnday. I seem to be losing time these days... ugh!

Excellent post. Jenny and Aaron were customers of mine way back when they were just starting out. I love their work. If you are ever in Atlantic Highlands and happen to stop in at the Flaky Tart (so worth the trip), check out the mural that Jen and Aar painted on the wall. Fabulous! Susan

Ohhh you absolute doll!!! Thanks so so much for the shout out!!! :)

I am hoping to organize a day trip up to Jennifer Paganelli's Sis Boom Winter Event this December! I'd love to rent a van for the day and maybe gather up some local blogger friends!! Maybe you'd wanna come? I have a list of some gals in the area, that we'd (me and Aaron) love to meet in person!

I'll keep in touch!

Ohh....I am on blogger now! Quite bittersweet. Darn AOL!

xoxo Jenny
