Fall is the perfect season for them to host their annual house tour. Autumn is the peak season in Lambertville, as the leaves start to work their magic and put on show for the tourists and day trippers (some of the best shopping I know of is in Lambertville, and in the adjacent town of New Hope, PA, which is a mere footbridge away). Seriously...if you're in this neck of the woods and looking for a day trip or overnighter, head to Lambertville and New Hope over the next few weeks while nature is still doing its thing.
Walking from house to house, I couldn't believe how decked out the porches were. Even the Federal-style homes with the smallest of porches decorated every inch of space:
But some homes with a little more frontage went all out. These folks created an homage to the Pirates of the Caribbean:
And just next door, I was in love with this ghoulish display on the front porch that extended all across the front yard:
But not HALF as amazed as I was when I returned at night to see it like this!
(Sorry for the blurry photos...the blacklights made it tough to shoot.)
Clearly, they love Halloween. Love.
I hope you enjoyed this little porch tour. I'm linking up with the lovely Melissa at The Inspired Room, who's hosting a little Fall Drive By. If you like stalking looking at other homes as much as I do, head over to Melissa's blog home for a look-see at the other houses on her bloggerific barnstorm.

Hi Laura :)
Oh my goodness - I can't believe how 'all out' they went. Those are amazing. How fun!
Truly wow. The fall decorations I posted are so humble in comparison.
Awww.... great pics! My sis sold her row house in Lambertville a year ago. I miss it :-(
Wow, how cool! I'd love to pay a visit to that area! So glad you shared these for us!
Happy fall,
Melissa

Hi Laura :)
I am in love with the decorations on the last house. It reminds me of Disneyland and the Haunted house :)
Great tour as always!

my what a difference the night makes. all the more scary. thanks for the tour... who needs candy with all that!
Wow! Those figures were creepy enough during the day...the nighttime black light is brilliant!!
Love to see these all out decorations....one thing America has a knack for is decorating for the holidays. I didn't realize it while still over there, since it was normal, but since coming to Australia, I have discovered Americans actually have a bit of a reputation for it!! :P
Wow! you wre able to find some real 'Halloween minded' homes!
Thanks for sharing your spooky tour with us!
Beth
Stalking...yes, that's what it feels like to do these drive-bys. :D
My, what Halloween horrors you found!
WOW Laura these porches are amazing! Are these houses all B&B's? I can't imagine a family doing all that decorating for Halloween
I've been wanting to go to New Hope or Lambertville for years and I have yet to make it to either. Now I know to wait for next October! They are so spooky at night.
You found an AMAZING neighborhood! I can't believe how decked out those houses are
I love it!
Oh my word! They really do love Halloween around there, don't they? Those are just AMAZING! What a fun visit for you and perfect timing with the decorations and all. :-)

Hi Laura...Oh how I used to love going to New Hope...that was back in the 70's when the big thing to buy in all those cute little shops were the melted coke bottle wind chimes...Boy, am I old.
These porches are amazing! They really go all out there, don't they? Hope you got some pics on this house tour you can use for my party on Friday. I'd love to see more! :-)
Wow, those are some awesome front porches!
Fantastic! Love the porch tour. How fun. I need me some blacklights, since I'm sure that mine are long gone from "the old days' ;-)
Laura B. wrote the above message.
Damn! Why do I keep doing that?
hey Laura, how come you find the most amazing places to take pics of? ;-)
love those porches, wow how do people find the time to decorate like this, it takes me long enough to get my 'normal' decor right lol!
Sarah
When I lived in Chicago everyone decorated for Halloween -- your pictures are great
Wow! Now I feel like such a slacker with my porch. ;)
They go all out, don't they? And that pirate ship! I don't believe I've ever seen that idea.
Sheila
WOW - that is going ALL out - how fun!
I love that white ghostly one in a tulle dress. I wonder how they made her?
Does tulle always glow under black light?
I LOVE these pics! I have only three mini white pumpkins as my Halloween/fall decor - pretty bad. I think I'm going to have to run out tomorrow and at least add to the pumpkins :)
I love that pirate ship display. It makes my little porch look... pitiful. The pansies aren't even in the pots yet!
